Back in the summer of 2018, Chelsea sold Jeremie Boga to Sassuolo. The French winger left the Blues’ academy to join the Italian side on a €3m deal.

With four goals and two assists this season, it turns out the 22-year-old is showing some very good form in Serie A, with his future being linked to several clubs in Europe.

Corriere Dello Sport brings an update, with a few comments on possible interest from Barcelona, which is ‘hard to ignore’.

But they bring some more information on the deal with Chelsea. They say the Blues actually have an option to buy him back from Sassuolo, and can do it until the next summer.

It seems not all Sassuolo fans were aware of that, because Sassuolo News covers the report with a bit of surprise, saying Chelsea’s possible attempt would harm the club’s chance of making a big profit with the sale. They say there’s a ‘danger’ the Blues could buy the player in January.

Corriere Dello Sport says Sassuolo want at least €20m for Boga, although the price which Chelsea would pay is not revealed.
