Bremer has been a regular figure in Torino’s defence since the start of last season and his displays this campaign haven’t gone unnoticed.
After being linked to a handful of Premier League sides, Chelsea became the latest club to be credited with an interest in the centre-back. AC Milan are also in the picture to sign him.
The Rossoneri’s need to strengthen their back line has become serious following Simon Kjær’s injury setback. The Dane is expected to be out of action for the remainder of this season.
Sky Italia journalist Manuele Baiocchini claims one of the profiles looked at by Stefano Pioli’s side is that of the Brazilian. Meanwhile, Tuttposport are reporting at least €30m is needed to take him away from Torino.
It’s claimed Milan will face ‘intense competition’ to sign Bremer in the winter market. On the player, there is ‘interest coming from the Premier League, above all that of Chelsea’. If the Blues want to sign him next month, they will need to spend at least €30m.
Meanwhile, Torino chairman Urbano Cairo refused to rule out Bremer’s sale in January when speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb last week.
“We’ll see [on outgoings in January], I’d say we still have three important games ahead. Let’s focus on these and don’t talk about the transfer market,” Cairo said.
“We have to be careful, we have to give everyone the same opportunities. We are thinking of Sampdoria, then of Verona and Inter. Can Bremer leave Torino? We’ll see, we’ll talk about it at the right time.”
