On Monday, we relayed a claim from La Provence that Manchester United, once again, went to watch Bordeaux’s Malcom play, this time against Marseille.
The young Brazilian forward has been mightily impressive for the Ligue 1 side over the past season or so, and his talent hasn’t gone unnoticed.
However, there’s another team being thrown into the mix on Tuesday, as Mercato365 claim Chelsea and Arsenal are keeping an eye on his situation as well.
Taking into account the recent rumours claiming Antonio Conte’s side are said to be considering a move for Lucas Moura, with Willian most likely ending up in China, Malcom is a decent alternative.
As for Arsenal, the likelihood of Alexis Sanchez leaving the club on a free at the end of the season suggests a player capable of playing on either side, and maybe even through the middle, could be of use.
While Bordeaux will be reluctant to let the 20-year-old go, there is a strong chance of him getting the big move he wishes at the end of the season, with claims Bordeaux have given him the green light to leave next summer if he stayed for the current campaign, which he did.
One to keep an eye on over the coming months, that’s for sure.
