Chelsea are one of the sides interested in Sporting Club de Portugal midfielder Dário Essugo as they continue to hunt top talent around the world.
That’s according to A Bola, who report that the midfielder, who is currently on loan at Las Palmas, has several suitors in Europe and Chelsea are one of them.
According to their information and that of CNN, the 19-year-old has several clubs interested in him in England and also in Spain.
The youngster is expected to leave Sporting in the summer transfer window, with a move in January having been blocked as he has played for the Portuguese side and Las Palmas in the same season.
Sporting value him at €20m and will be looking for proposals around that amount and Chelsea could be one of the sides to offer it. There are several inquiries for him, though, and the Blues may face competition for his signature.
A Bola make no mention of what Chelsea’s plans for him could be, although we suspect he is a signing who would head to Strasbourg first as several of their recent young signings have already done.
