Three days ago, journalist Isabela Pagliari stated Chelsea could emerge as an option for Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar in the summer.

This is further backed up by AS, who name the west London club as one of the forward’s three suitors in England.

Apart from Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United are also mentioned.

The Ligue 1 side were keen to get rid of the Brazil international last summer but he wasn’t keen to leave Paris. The situation will be different in the next window because the player ‘opens the door for the exit’.

It’s claimed the 31-year-old is evaluating options to change clubs while PSG are analysing different scenarios to sanction his transfer, so that they can save on his €40m a year salary.

Neymar has suitors in England, where Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle have ‘already expressed their interest in signing’ him. AS stress the Premier League trio have not made their interest public.

The South American will have to take a pay cut to seal a move to England. If he fails to find an agreement, PSG would be forced to pay part of his wages, should they send him out on loan with an option to buy.

It’s clear an ‘exit is possible’ in the next few months. Whether Neymar will join Chelsea, the Red Devils, Newcastle or another club remains to be seen.
