It’s been seven years since Kenneth Omeruo joined Chelsea, but the 25-year-old never made an appearance for the Blues.

The defender has been away from Stamford Bridge on loan since 2012 and during the last season, he was loaned out to Leganes.

Having impressed in La Liga, Mauricio Pellegrino’s side want to acquire the Nigeria international’s services on a permanent deal. They have been working to find an agreement with the Europa League winners.

As reported before, Saturday’s edition of AS once again says Frank Lampard’s side had been demanding €8m for the centre-back.

However, the two clubs have managed to find an agreement for €5m and he will complete his move to Leganes in the next few days. The player is expected to sign a five-year deal with the La Liga club.

The west London club also receive 15 percent of a future transfer fee, and AS insists this has been key for Leganes to close the agreement with Chelsea for a lower fee.

Omeruo’s impending move to Leganes will see him end his association with Chelsea.
