On Wednesday morning, we covered a report from Spanish daily AS suggesting Real Madrid face tough competition from Chelsea for N’Golo Kante.
It was reported Antonio Conte has made a ‘priority request’ for Kante, and Chelsea are ready to pay his release clause of €25m.
We pointed out that there might not be any release clause in his contract, but that either way Leicester are going to find it difficult to keep him at King Power Stadium.
According to French website Le Parisien, Chelsea and Leicester City have agreed on a €35m fee for Kante.
The 25-year-old has agreed to sign a five-year contract with Chelsea, and a deal could be wrapped up soon.
It is reported Paris-Saint Germain also wanted to sign Kante, before the arrival of Unai Emery.
The signing of Gregory Krychowiak also suggested the French champions might not be interested in Kante any longer.
