For weeks, Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola has talked about Chelsea’s strong interest in Palmeiras youngster Endrick. He even claimed he had a feeling that it’s the Blues who’d win the battle to sign the 16-year-old wonderkid.

It turns out that sharing an update about the starlet today, the reporter claims that Real Madrid are actually close to finding a deal for the transfer.

It’s said there’ll be a video meeting between Palmeiras and the La Liga giants on Tuesday. According to Nicola, the Galacticos already claimed they’re willing to pay €72m for the signing.

Even though Endrick is only protected by a €60m release clause, that’s a way for Real Madrid to cover all the taxes the Brazilian club would have to deal with, and obviously convince them of taking their bid.

Nicola claims that Spanish club ‘know’ that Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain have ‘advanced negotiations’ for Endrick, and want to make an impressive offer to win the battle.

The story claims that in case Real Madrid do place that bid, the ‘tendency’ is that Palmeiras accept it and let the youngster move to La Liga when he turns 18 in 2024.

So if Chelsea and PSG want to stay alive in this race, it seems they’ll need to move quickly.
