With recent reports from the English media claiming Crystal Palace are interested in the signing of Oympique Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara, it’s now time for the French press to bring a response to this rumour.
Jeunes Footeux today features a story which first confirms that the Eagles have been following the 22-year-old ‘for several months’, and are willing to sign him as a free agent in the summer.
The Selhurst Park side’s plans, however, may not be successful, because, according to the report, the chances of them making this signing are ‘close to zero’.
The outlet claims Kamara is ‘not at all’ interested in joining Crystal Palace, pointing out they’re just 10th in the Premier League table, while Marseille are fighting for a Champions League spot in France.
That being said, the Eagles can still ‘keep hope’, as his final decision has yet to be taken, but it’s reaffirmed that he’d like to join a ‘more upscale club’, most likely fighting for a spot in Europe.
Kamara has also been linked to the likes of Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Milan, Roma, Juventus, Arsenal and Newcastle United, while Jeunes Footeux say his contract renewal with Olympique Marseille is ‘also not to be ruled out’.
