Borrusia Monchengladbach star Thorgan Hazard has been linked with a return to Chelsea, after it was revealed the Premier League club can buy him back for €15m.

The 23-year-old has started the season impressively, and that has only given life to those rumours. Scoring against Barcelona in the Champions League will obviously have only helped pushed things further.

Hazard has been speaking to Belgian newspaper HLN, and was asked about a possible return to Chelsea. The Gladbach player says he isn’t thinking about a transfer at the moment, and is happy in Germany.

Hazard said: “Chelsea? I’m not thinking about a move. I’m happy in Germany. But I don’t know my limits at all.”

Asked what his brother Eden told him about his performances, he added:”Eden jokingly says sometimes: ‘Calm down, bro. The people might start to think you’re better than me’.”

According to Bild in Germany, scouts from his former club, Chelsea have been watching Hazard lately and have until December 31st to enforce their buyback clause, thought to be €15m.

Hazard would then return to Stamford Bridge in the summer, giving Gladbach time to find a replacement. Given that Hazard has no idea if Chelsea plan to use the clause or not, he has to remain very guarded in his comments.

 

Hazard has 7 goals and 3 assists to his name already this season, and has another three years left on his contract at the Bundesliga club. If Chelsea
