Fotomac claim Galatasaray have identified Manchester United attacker midfielder Juan Mata as a target in this transfer window.
The 31 year old will be out of contract with the Premier League side at the end of this month, if he doesn’t renew, meaning the Super Lig side can land him on a free transfer.
Next season Gala will be playing in the Champions League group stages and they want to strengthen their squad in order to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition, with Mata being an option.
This summer the Turkish club are also likely to sell their current attacking midfielder Younes Belhanda, and according to Fotomac they are planning to replace him with the Manchester United man.
It’s reported Galatasaray officials know their chances of getting Mata are slim and it will be an ambitious move to convince him to come to Istanbul.
Mata played 32 games for Manchester United in all competitions last season and scored 6 goals.
