Eden Hazard has made a decision, or so the Chelsea player told RMC for a recent documentary.
The Belgium international knows what he’s going to do in the summer.
Of course, he hasn’t shared that decision, and the drama is likely to continue. It was very much like this when Hazard left Lille and eventually joined Chelsea.
The assumption many have taken is that the decision is to join Real Madrid. And, in that regard he can’t really announce it anyway, because Madrid may not have nailed down their summer transfer plans just yet.
Hazard’s desire to play for the Spanish club is something which he’s spoken about on repeat occasions, but Florentino Perez has never seemed absolutely convinced, only considering the prospect if it represents a good deal.
Cesc Fabregas has been speaking to Radio Marca, and was of course asked about his former teammate.
The AS Monaco player shared what he knows about Hazard’s transfer plans: “He has a year and a half left and is happy at Chelsea, but if he leaves London it will only be for Real Madrid, they are personal decisions and I wish him the best because he has given Chelsea seven spectacular years.”
