Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia seems keen on returning to England. Despite spending only six months on loan at Hull City last season, the player now keeps being linked to Premier League and Championship clubs, as his club tries to offload him once again.
This Monday, website Calcio Mercato reports that Ranocchia keeps turning Genoa down because he wants a move back to England. He’d be waiting for two specific clubs to come and get him: Southampton and Sunderland.
Problem is that neither of the two clubs have shown the will to make an official bid, and as the outlet doesn’t make clear where the player’s desire is coming from, it’s hard to tell why are they being linked in first place.
Also, if his desire is really to return to the Premier League, someone should tell him that Sunderland were relegated last season, because Calcio Mercato still mentions the Black Cats as a first tier side.
