Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web today features a story on the future of Celtic youngster Armstrong Okoflex.
With the winger’s Celtic contract expiring at the end of the season, the report claims Serie A sides are already looking for his signing.
They recall that Bologna and Torino were some of the clubs who were interested in Okoflex last year, and now, other sides should join the race for him.
Tutto Mercato Web doesn’t mention if there’s a chance of him signing a new deal with Celtic, although they make it clear he’s now part of their reserve squad and therefore out of the immediate thinking for Neil Lennon.
Okoflex is labelled by the report as ‘one of the most exciting talents of Irish football’. He left St. Kevins Boys to join Arsenal’s academy in 2013, and moved to Scotland in 2018.
Despite being taken to the bench a couple of times, the 18-year-old is still to make his professional debut for Celtic. And since his future ‘could be in Italy’, perhaps he’ll end up not even wearing the Hoops’ jersey.
