Fotomaç have today reported Celtic are still keen on Fenerbahçe left back Hasan Ali Kaldirim after initial claims last week the SPL side want to sign the player.
The Turkish international’s contract is set to expire in six months and he’s been linked with a move to Celtic as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his defence.
The defender would provide competition to current Celtic fullbacks Mikael Lustig and Emilio Izaguirre.
Fotomaç have revealed Celtic have begun preliminary discussions with Hasan Ali’s agent. It’s been reported in the Turkish media Celtic will offer £1.6m a year to Hasan Ali and the Scottish club are also prepared to give him a £1m signing on-fee, as covered by us last week.
Hasan Ali’s recent performances have caught the eye of a number of European clubs, and he’ll be a good option for a number of teams including Celtic.
Hasin Ali is now the first-choice left back at Fenerbahce, and he’s enjoying probably his best season with Turkish giants. It could be something of a bargain signing for Brendan Rodgers if he convinces the player to move to Glasgow.
