Celtic are in talks to sign Odsonne Edouard from PSG, according to Le Parisien.
The French newspaper claim talks are ongoing between PSG and Celtic which if successful would see the 19 year old move. Edouard would arrive at Celtic Park on loan for the rest of the current season, with his options at PSG limited.
The imminent signing of Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco makes it even harder for youngsters like Edouard to breakthrough, especially after he spent last season on loan at Toulouse anyway.
Celtic will be well aware of the striker’s controversial year. In July, Edouard was sentenced to four months suspended, and fined €6k, after allegedly injuring a member of the public with an air-gun.
Edouard has always denied it was him who fired the shot, claiming someone else was using his car, and an appeal was lodged against the verdict.
Le Parisien say Brendan Rodgers wants Edouard to either provide support to Moussa Demeble or to replace the Celtic striker.
The French newspaper certainly sounds confident a deal will be done.
