There are claims coming out of Turkey that Fenerbahçe are targeting Chelsea defender Kenedy due to the possibility of Hasan Ali Kaldirim leaving the club in the summer. Hasan Ali will be out of contract at the end of the season, and has been strongly been linked with a move to Celtic.

AmkSpor have reported Fenerbahce are looking to bring in defensive reinforcements during the next window due to the uncertainty over the future of Hasan Ali. The Turkey international has yet to commit himself to the club, which has led to interest from other clubs, including Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic.

The Turkish giants subsequently have their eyes on Kenedy, with the Brazilian falling out of favour at Chelsea. It’s also been reported the player’s agent has already been approached by Fenerbahce officials.

During the last window we covered reports from Turkey claiming Celtic manager Rodgers is keen on Hasan Ali and wants to bring in the defender to provide competition to Mikael Lustig and Emilio Izaguirre.

Celtic have already had preliminary discussions with Hasan Ali’s agent, as claimed by the Turkish press in January. It’s been reported Celtic have offered £1.6m a year to Hasan Ali and the Scottish club are also prepared to give him a £1m signing on-fee.
