As things stand, Odsonne Edouard will not be at Celtic next season.
Even if the French forward has an option to buy in his temporary deal, there are yet to be talks between himself, Paris Saint-Germain and the Scottish Premiership reigning champions.
That’s what L’Equipe are reporting on Thursday, as they rank the Ligue 1 leaders’ loanees, placing the Celtic striker top of their list, labelling him the most convincing.
Despite playing a backup role for most of the season, the 20-year-old has scored nine goals in 27 Celtic appearances, as well as helping out with three assists.
However, because talks haven’t happened yet doesn’t mean they won’t, especially since Brendan Rodgers described him as ‘one of the best young players’ he has worked with.
L’Equipe state Edouard is waiting until the end of the season, with four games left, to decide what he wants to do.
Perhaps he’s waiting for a conversation with Thomas Tuchel to help him decide?
