Over the past few weeks, the name Jeremie Frimpong is one we’ve seen more and more often.

The Celtic defender has been one of the big bright lights in a relatively subdued campaign at Parkhead so far, and his performances under Neil Lennon haven’t gone unnoticed.

Among those taking a very close look at the Dutchman are AS Roma, as was reported just on Tuesday by Corriere dello Sport.

The big problem in all this for the Serie A side is that Celtic don’t seem open to selling their young prodigy despite receiving some requests for him.

They know they have a very promising players on their books and a certain amount would be required to change their mind.

How much? Italian journalist Paolo Rocchetti appears to have the answer, as he took to social media to relay the news.

According to him, Frimpong was ‘offered’ to Roma back in September, and another European club is also keen, having overtaken the Serie A club in the process.

As for the price, it’s said Celtic’s request for the 20-year-old is €12m.

That doesn’t seem to be a lot, but Roma aren’t currently flush with cash, meaning there’s every chance they might look elsewhere.
