Celtic and fierce rivals Rangers are set to do battle for Galatasaray forward Bright Osayi-Samuel as the Turkish side eye up a sale.
That’s according to Fanatik, who say Turkish side are keen to secure a sale this summer after the player disappointed following his arrival in January.
Osayi-Samuel arrived in a €500k deal from Queens Park Rangers, having rejected advances from the likes of Celtic and Rangers to make the move to Turkey.
His move to the club has not worked out, though, with him failing to live up to expectations and also struggling to adapt to the manager’s new system.
As a result, the club’s manager have decided to ‘evaluate’ future offers for the winger, and fortunately, there are interested parties.
The two main suitors are Celtic and Rangers, with both Steven Gerrard and Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou seemingly believing he could be a valuable addition.
Neither club has made a move as yet, but Galatasaray are waiting for that to happen and have set a €3m asking price on their man.
Whether Celtic, or their counterparts at Ibrox are willing to pay isn’t mentioned, but it’s not an insurmountable fee for either side.
A deal is there to be done then, with Osayi-Samuel seemingly set for a return to the UK after a short and underwhelming spell in Turkey.
Whether his destination is Parkhead or Ibrox, however, remains to be seen.
