Even though Porto seem to be struggling a little to find a deal with Celtic for the transfer of Olivier Ntcham, the Portuguese press is still confident that the player is making the move.
Newspaper Record has published a story with a mix of reports and a little bit of their own information. Their headline says ‘Ntcham wants to be a Dragon’.
What they got from other outlets was that the Scottish side would have rejected a £13m bid from Porto for the player, even though they insist he clearly wants to leave.
And they add that according to ‘sources close to Celtic’, the club would have set some long term goals for their Europa League campaign, so they can recover the millions which were lost when they got knocked out from the Champions League.
But Record claims that it won’t be enough for Celtic to hold their stars, especially Ntcham.
The player dreams of being in the French national team soon, and playing in the Champions League for another club is something that could help him achieve that.
That’s why the exit to Porto is what he wants now, say Record, regardless of Celtic’s efforts for him to stay.
