Marseille really need sales this summer, and their incomings will depend largely on who they can get rid of over the next few weeks.

Kevin Strootman is being encouraged to find himself a new destination, but not a lot is happening in that regard, and there’s also been rumours around Morgan Sanson, Luiz Gustavo and Florian Thauvin.

Once that’s sorted they can start the incomings, with Celtic’s Olivier Ntcham an option for the club.

The Celtic player is mentioned by L’Equipe in their Thursday transfer special, and it’s explained Ntcham is one of the players who have been ‘identified and supervised’, which sounds like Marseille have been sending scouts to Glasgow.

Another option is Guingamp’s Marcus Thuram.

A keenness on the Celtic midfielder has been covered elsewhere in France this week, and it would appear that interest from the Ligue 1 side is genuine, although a lot will depend on the initial response from the Scottish Premiership side.

Ntcham has a contract until June 2022, so with Celtic under absolutely no pressure to sell it’s likely Marseille won’t like the asking price they’d hear.
