Luis Palma insists there’s a possibility for him get back into Brendan Rodgers’ plans at Celtic next season.
The Honduras international’s minutes at Celtic Park were restricted this season and he joined Olympiacos on loan in the winter market.
The winger made it to the Honduras squad for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup and arrived at the national team training camp. The local media had a chat with the Celtic player and El Heraldo have relayed his comments.
He played 515 minutes from 12 games for the Greek club, managing a goal and an assist in the process. The Celtic owned player won the title and the Greek Football Cup with Olympiacos.
On his spell with Olympiacos, he said: “Winning titles is always good. This season has been a great learning experience for me. Now, we hope the upcoming preseason will be the best. I have to return to Celtic.
“Very nice, because I’ve already been there, and being in the biggest team in Greece is very nice.”
Olympiacos have a purchase option, but several claims have stated they won’t trigger it. Therefore, he will have to return to Celtic, and his future there needs to be resolved.
On April 5th, Fútbol Centroamérica reported the player felt he was mistreated by Brendan Rodgers and doesn’t want to return to the Scottish club.
Earlier this month, Sportime explained Panathinaikos, AEK Athens and PAOK FC are his options to return to Greece. Palma, however, has refused to talk about his future.
“I have a contract with Celtic; I can’t talk about another team,” Palma explained.
When asked if he could get a chance at Celtic, he added: “From the moment I have a contract, I have a chance.”
