Despite being hyped as one of the biggest talents in football at an early age, Karamoko Dembélé has only made four appearances for Celtic to this day.

It seems to stem from Neil Lennon’s side not wanting to rush thing with the England U17 international, but some first-team experience would likely go a long way to help his development.

That’s what Celtic were trying to find him, according to L’Equipe, and recently relegated Amiens in Ligue 2 were a potential destination.

The French newspaper explain their English director of football, John Williams, ‘could have attracted one of the most watched young talents on YouTube’.

It’s said Celtic saw a loan for their starlet ‘with a good eye’, but then add ‘Amiens weren’t able to tie up this nice hypothesis’.

The reason? A deal for Dembélé was simply ‘unattainable’.

That means the youngster will have to stay at Parkhead for the foreseeable future, but watch out for stories about a temporary exit in January.
