Prior to signing his contract renewal with Celtic in November of last year, transfer claims were swirling around Olivier Ntcham.
The new deal didn’t completely kill interest in the midfielder, but it made sure the Scottish Premiership club are well protected and any transfer will be for a good fee and on Celtic’s terms.
Now contracted until June 2022, the 23 year old has continued to be an important part of the Glasgow club’s side. He’s made 20 appearances in total so far this season, scoring four goals and adding three assists.
One of the most memorable evenings in the Frenchman’s career came against Lazio earlier this month, when Ntcham came off the bench to score the winner for Celtic.
It appears he’s attracting attention again, with Tuesday’s edition of A Bola reporting the player is ‘in the sights’ of Sporting. The Lisbon club have Ntcham ‘on the radar’, and their interest follows that of fellow Portuguese side Porto.
A Bola don’t mention a potential transfer fee and there’s every chance that when Sporting learn of Celtic’s asking price they back away from the picture.
