The ratio of how many Premier League related people they manage to pick out is rather impressive, perhaps lifting the veil on how they feel about the English league.
This week they’ve gone a little further north, and it’s the first time we’ve seen a Scottish Premiership related Verlierer. That’s not because SportBild are big fans of the league, it’s just it doesn’t register so much in Germany.
Celtic are expected to win, something may happen in a derby with Rangers, and apart from that there’s little coverage.
Hearts are top, Rangers are riding high in 2nd and wrapped in the Steven Gerrard feel good factor, and Celtic are all the way down in 7th.
That’s why Rodgers is being singled out.
For their German audience, SportBild explain Rodgers has a lot ‘to answer for’, chiefly that his Celtic side are having the club’s worst start to a season for 20 years.
