Celtic are looking to add Girona’s Bojan Miovski to Brendan Rodgers’ squad this summer.

The striker was at Aberdeen for two years and left them for the La Liga club in August of last year. He wasn’t utilised regularly and was limited to 1,241 minutes from 22 games, managing four goals and two assists.

According to AS, the 26-year-old is set to leave Girona and Celtic could bring him back to Scotland.

Celtic are well aware of what the forward can offer and are interested in securing his services.

AS point out claims from elsewhere that SC Freiburg and Hamburger SV have expressed interest and made moves to sign the North Macedonia international. Celtic will have to be wary of the two German clubs.

The report says Miovski is likely to leave the Spanish club and therefore, they have to sign his replacement.

His contract lasts until 2028, and Girona sporting director Quique Cárcel explained: “There are contracts that condition us from making all the deals we want to do.”

According to AS, Cárcel’s comment indicates Girona need an attractive offer and the frontman’s approval to sanction his sale. Whether Celtic will make a bid for him remains to be seen.
