Celtic are Burnley are among the clubs in the mix to sign Le Havre’s Étienne Youté this summer.

The centre-back has less than a year left on his contract and could leave the Ligue 1 side if there’s an offer of €5m. That’s according to L’Equipe, who state the 23-year-old is attracting interest from a few clubs, including Celtic and Burnley.

L’Equipe explain last season was the most difficult one in Youté’s career, but that hasn’t put off interested parties.

Celtic, Anderlecht and Beşiktaş are all ‘keenly interested’ in the Frenchman, who is also of interest to Burnley, two unnamed German clubs, a Championship side and another English club.

Le Havre won’t put any obstacles in the way to sanction the defender’s sale in this window if there’s a ‘package deal of €5m’ available. This suggests they are willing to accept a fee of €5m including bonuses.

L’Equipe don’t indicate whether Brendan Rodgers’ side or the Premier League newcomers are open to offering €5m for Youté.

Youté played 28 games for the French club last season, and Le Havre are expecting him to leave.
