Celtic are one of several sides to have ‘positioned themselves’ for Lorient goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo this summer.

That’s according to L’Equipe, who say that the goalkeeper could be set for a move after Euro 2024 and Celtic have already made initial moves.

The newspaper explains that the goalkeeper, who is currently part of the Switzerland set up, is expected to leave Lorient after they were relegated to Ligue 2 last season.

Finding a new club is unlikely to be difficult for the 30-year-old as he ‘has no shortage of requests’ at this moment in time.

He had a convincing season despite his side’s relegation and has been given an ‘exit voucher’ by the French club for this summer.

According to L’Equipe’s information, several European sides including Celtic and Parma ‘have already positioned themselves’ for the goalkeeper.

There is also interest in him from inside France from Nice, who could be set to lose Alban Lafont and so would need a replacement.

Those around the goalkeeper are insisting that he’s yet to decide his future and wants to find an ‘ideal and ambitious project’ for himself.

Whether Celtic can convince him they have that on offer is up for debate but they’re in the mix nonetheless and have already positioned themselves for a potential move.
