Carlo Ancelotti will return to Napoli this summer in an attempt to lure midfielder Allan to Everton.
That’s according to Corriere Dello Sport, who say the Blues boss remains keen on adding the Brazilian to his midfield.
Everton are known to be on the hunt for a midfielder this summer, with that area of the team having required improvement for some time.
Allan is one that has been heavily linked, with numerous reports suggesting Ancelotti was keen to sign him in the January transfer window.
That never happened but Corriere say the midfielder was ‘at the centre’ of a negotiation between Everton and Napoli and Ancelotti will return to try and sign him this summer.
How much the Italian side will want for him isn’t mentioned, nor is how much Everton will be willing to pay, although separate reports have indicated it will be in the €40m region.
In the meantime, Allan has to ‘clarify’ his situation with Serie A club, having seen it deteriorate over the last year since he pushed for a move to Paris Saint-Germain last season.
