Chelsea midfielder Jorginho was interviewed this week by Globo Esporte’s podcast Gringolândia, and had a chat about the great year he’s been living so far.
The 29-year-old talked about Thomas Tuchel’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, the Champions League title, the Euros n with Italy, and of course, his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or.
Quizzed about who’d he vote for in that contest, Jorginho first said it would be in himself. Then the reporters insisted a little for him to choose different names, and he said he’d go for N’Golo Kante or Kevin De Bruyne.
The Brazilian gave a lot of praise to his Chelsea teammate, but it turns out that when asked if the Frenchman is as shy as he seems, he revealed that Kante isn’t a person you’d like to gamble against.
“What you see there is himself, man. He’s very shy. He’s just like that. But now I’m going to tell you: don’t bet with him, man,” Jorginho told Gringolândia.
“You shouldn’t bet anything with him because whilst he’s shy, he’s roguish. Very! Card game, not just card game. Cards, snooker, ball game. Any game that bets, he’s wanting to get in his hand.”
The reporters then asked Jorginho if he’s ever bet against Kante about who’d win the most balls in a game.
“Then you want to lose, right? You’re going to bet Kante on that, man? Are you kidding?”
