Benfica have several loanees around Europe, and that could turn out to be very profitable for them at the end of the season.
Newspaper Record brings a story today listing all of these players, saying the Eagles could make up to €20m by selling a few of them in the summer.
The article has a section with ‘particular stories’, and that’s where they fit Chris Willock, who’s currently having a loan spell at Huddersfield Town.
They say the Terriers would like to keep him at the club, but a problem is that the likes of Cardiff City and Swansea City would be keen on signing him as well.
Record doesn’t say how much Benfica would demand for the player, although an auction between Cardiff, Swansea and Huddersfield for him would obviously help the Eagles get a bigger amount.
Willock started the season making a move to West Brom, but that didn’t go very well for him. That’s why he switched clubs in January, signing for Huddersfield on a short loan spell, having one goal in seven appearances for the club so far.
