After Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest, it’s Cardiff City who have knocked on the door of Younousse Sankharé.
The Bordeaux midfielder has attracted a lot of interest from all around Europe, and while the Bluebirds have joined the fray, there is some good competition.
The 29-year-old, who has made it clear he wasn’t explicitly looking to leave the Ligue 1 side, could, should he depart, end up having to choose between the Championship and La Liga.
As well as the Bluebirds, Alaves and Leganes have come knocking, according to local outlet Sud-Ouest.
The former of the two Spanish sides have ‘asked for information’ and also let Bordeaux know they are keen on getting a deal done.
However, no offer has arrived for the Cardiff target yet, who has two years left on his contract in the south west of France.
He has been left out of the club’s pre-season tour in America, which is clear sign that Paulo Sousa isn’t particularly interested in working with him next year.
That could be ideal for Neil Warnock and co.
