Former Manchester United forward Federico Macheda is on the verge of joining Italian side Novara, according to claims in the Italian media. The 25-year-old hit the headlines when he burst on to scene with Manchester United, but went on to have unsuccessful spells with the likes of Cardiff City and Queens Park Rangers.
TMW have today revealed Macheda looks to have finally found a new club, and could today sign for Novara as a free agent. The Italian has been without a club since he terminated his contract with Cardiff City in the summer, and despite being linked with several clubs from Italy in recenet months nothing materialised.
However, Macheda recently installed Mino Raiola to represent him after his previous two agents failed to find him a club, and it seems he could now get his career back on track with Novara.
Macheda has never been able to rediscover the form he showed in his first season with Manchester United, when he scored vital goals to help the club win the Premier League title. Whilst at QPR the player made just three appearances, scoring no goals and thinks hardly improved when he signed for Cardiff City in 2014.
