Lucas Moura to Tottenham Hotspur rolls on today in much the same way as it has for the past couple of days.

Mauricio Pochettino’s meeting with Lucas last week is referenced again by L’Equipe, and it’s explained the Tottenham manager was pleasantly surprised by how well the Brazilian speaks English.

The outline of an agreement had been agreed on Tuesday and then the Thursday meeting further underlined everyone’s desire to work with each other.

Tottenham are said to believe there’s no alternative on the market which represents as good a deal as Lucas, and whilst Daniel Levy initially pushed for a loan, getting the player for less than €30m is presented as pleasing.

Someone from the player’s entourage is quoted as saying “We can imagine a rapid resolution”, which makes things sound imminent, and L’Equipe say a source at PSG last night told them: “It’s looking good.”

The French newspaper say a transfer could be finalised quickly.

Interestingly, Lucas’ camp are said to be keeping all options open, just in case the deal collapses, and are still in contact with Arsenal and clubs from Spain.
