Jurgen Klopp is clearly very happy at Liverpool. The German manager’s first season wasn’t a runaway success, with not too much improvement in the club’s achievements, but this season has been completely different.
Liverpool are not only great to watch and an entertaining attacking force, but also effective with it. Sitting at the top of the Premier League table, a point ahead of Chelsea, recruiting Klopp looks to have been a masterstroke by Liverpool.
A difficult final season at Borussia Dortmund did little to tarnish the German’s reputation, and he could even return to BVB one day in the future, after his stint with Liverpool.
German magazine SportBild have been speaking to Dortmund’s Hans-Joachim Watzke, and asked him if the Bundesliga will see Klopp once again. Watzke replied: “With Ottmar Hitzfeld, Bayen made it clear that such a model can be a success. We are very happy with Thomas Tuchel. For the future, however, I do not exclude any idea. Jurgen is still young.”
Watzke went on to say that there may be a problem with salary, and joked Dortmund would pay Klopp in a year what he’s currently getting per month to manage Liverpool.
