Corinthians left-back Guilherme Arana has been linked with a move to Manchester United, after his agent claimed the Premier League giants have been watching the player.
In fact, Italian website Tutto Mercato Web also reported Arana’s agent had visited the training facilities of Manchester United.
According to a latest report on Brazilian website Odiario, Inter Milan have made an offer of €5m to Corinthians for Arana, which they will evaluate next week, as President Roberto de Andrade is recovering from a health issue.
Corinthians will pocket 40% of any transfer fee, whilst 60% will go to the respective agencies. Odiario say there is also interest from Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, but doing business with the Premier League club could prove to be difficult.
Around the time the last claims surfaced regarding Manchester United, a little digging on the Brazilian side of a possible transfer showed that all may not be what it seems with regards to interest from the English club.
There are people connected, and not so connected, to the player who want to get their slice of a potential deal and have therefore been encouraging the idea of interest.
It would be no surprise if Inter had fallen for it, hook, line, and sinker.
