Burnley are interested in Jiri Pavlenka and the Werder Bremen goalkeeper’s move to England should become ‘very concrete in the next few days’, according to Bild.

The 29-year-old has been first-choice keeper for the German club since he joined them in 2017, but he could be on the move this summer after his side were relegated from the Bundesliga.

It’s claimed the Clarets have ‘put out feelers’ for the Czech Republic international, who was forced to withdraw from Euro 2020 due to a back injury.

Bild mention that reports indicate a €3m offer, most likely from the Premier League side, for the keeper should arrive in the coming days.

It’s questionable whether Werder Bremen chief Frank Baumann would accept this offer because the figure is ‘nowhere near’ the fee they were hoping for. The asking price estimated for the custodian is around €5.5m.

Sean Dyche’s side want to ‘lure’ the Werder goalkeeper, and Bild add the English club ‘prepare an offer’ to sign Pavlenka this summer.

A move to Burnley ‘will be attractive’ due to the chance of making it in the Premier League.
