Royal Antwerp’s Manuel Benson is expected at Burnley tomorrow for a medical after the two clubs reached a final agreement for the winger.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who says it is a case of ‘details sorted’ and full steam ahead for the player to move to Turf Moor.
Burnley have been busy rebuilding their squad under Vincent Kompany this summer and the Belgian has targeted players from his homeland, with Josh Cullen, Vitinho and Samuel Bastian signed from Anderlecht, Cercle Bruges and Standard Liege respectively.
Benson is the latest target and Tavolieri has been reporting over the last week that a series of bids had been rejected.
He now provides a positive update, stating that the details are sorted and there is a ‘final agreement’ between Burnley and Antwerp.
There is no mention of the price agreed between the two clubs but it’s stated Benson will sign a four-year deal if his medical tests are successful.
Those are planned for tomorrow, with Benson set to fly tonight ahead of undergoing his examinations tomorrow.
