Burnley have made an offer for RC Lens midfielder Seko Fofana as they look to bolster their squad this month.
That’s according to journalist Cedric Rablat, who says Burnley have made a €17m bid for one of Ligue 1’s star performers this season.
Burnley are set to be flush with cash when Chris Wood completes a move to Newcastle, with that deal expected to go through in the coming days.
Sean Dyche’s side will likely have to go into the market to find a replacement, but it seems their interest is on bolstering the midfield.
Rablat reports that they have made a €17m bid for Lens midfielder Seko, who has been in impressive form for the Ligue 1 side this season.
He does not mention how this offer will be seen by the French side, only offering that it will be a case of wait and see on the deal.
Burnley are likely to have work on their hands to convince the player on the move, with his performances this season earning him plenty of admirers.
It means he could arguably earn himself a far more attractive club than Burnley, but it is they who have made the first move for him nonetheless.
