On Tuesday morning, we covered reports from the Spanish media claiming Bournemouth are interested in the signing of Gonzalo Plata from Real Valladolid.
With the La Liga side getting relegated to the second division, now is a great time for the Cherries to bring him to the Premier League.
As South American journalist Cesar Luis Merlo writes about Plata’s future today, he now adds that Vincent Kompany’s Burnley are also interested in the 22-year-old.
The reports starts by claiming that the winger has ‘serious chances’ of moving away from Valladolid following his team’s relegation.
Merlo then takes previous claims about Bournemouth’s chase and adds that Burnley are also going after the Ecuadorian player.
For now, there’s no information on how much Real Valladolid would demand for the sale.
Plata is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €5m, but it’s probably fair to say that in case Bournemouth and Burnley both come for his signing, then he should move for at least a little more if the Spanish side play their cards right.
Featuring for the Spanish club this season, the winger had one goal and seven assists in 36 appearances.
