Burnley’s Anass Zaroury has successfully passed the second part of his medical as he finalises a move to RC Lens.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that Zaroury’s move to the French side should be completed in the next 24 hours.
A report yesterday stated that Zaroury was on the verge of completing a move to Lens after the two sides agreed a deal. That deal was worth €9m including bonuses and had a 20% on a future sale going back to Burnley.
Those same reports indicated that Zaroury had already agreed a deal with Lens and undergone the first part of his medical with them.
A transfer appeared to be progressing rapidly and Tavolieri now reports that Zaroury has completed the second part of his medical today.
Thus there is nothing standing in the way of his exit from Burnley and the ‘officialisation’ should take place in the next 24 hours.
That will bring an end to a two year stay at Burnley, who he joined from RSC Charleroi in August 2022. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull City but is now set to make a full exit from Turf Moor.
