Last summer, Kosta Nedeljković arrived at Aston Villa after they agreed a deal with Red Star Belgrade in January 2024.

The right-back has clocked in 342 minutes from nine appearances this season as is behind Matty Cash in the pecking order at Villa Park.

VfL Wolfsburg have set their sights on the Aston Villa ‘super talent’ for the winter market. That’s according to Bild, who state the German club are keen on securing the 19-year-old’s services.

The website claims the defender is considered a ‘huge talent’, and has already made six appearances for Serbia’s senior team. They add half the Bundesliga sides have him on their list even though he has struggled for regular game time under Unai Emery.

Bild have only mentioned Wolfsburg and their desire to try and secure his services in January. The Bundesliga club would like to ‘lure’ the Aston Villa man on a loan deal with an option to buy, without mentioning any figures.

Nedeljković’s contract at Villa Park lasts until 2029 and there’s no clarity over both his and Aston Villa’s stance on inserting a buying option/obligation as part of any loan deal.
