Canarias7 is the media which covers Las Palmas the most. Transfers in and out and everything about the Segunda division club.
And right now, they’ve got a bee in their bonnet.
Rafa Mir, spending the season on loan at Las Palmas from Wolves, isn’t starting matches and it’s believed by Canarias7 that he should be.
They run an article with a headline stating: ‘Rafa Mir, a bullet that is wasted on the bench’
It’s explained that last week, Mir was Las Palmas’ ‘hero’ having come on as a substitute to score the winner against Malaga. A good all round performance, along with the goal, was thought to be enough to get him in the starting line-up, but ‘to everyone’s surprise’, the Wolves owned player was on the bench again, this time against Sporting Gijon.
Las Palmas lost, and Canarias7 are furious that Mir wasn’t given longer, especially considering he played well in the half hour handed out.
On the face of it, the 21 year old’s situation wouldn’t seem so bad, but it’s pointed out that with Sergio Araujo injured it was assumed Mir would be straight in.
Wolves will be keeping an eye on the situation. There’s no need for big concern yet, Mir is certainly getting minutes, but the more chances he gets the better the loan will be.
