Following weeks of Tottenham links in the Turkish media, representative Marco Kırdemir has confirmed he’s in discussions with English clubs regarding the potential transfer of Galatasaray winger Bruma.
Caito Balde is Bruma’s official agent, but Kırdemir helped on the Turkish side when Bruma moved to Galatasaray, and he’s spoken to Bursadabugun.com about the player.
Without mentioning Tottenham, Kırdemir added: “I’m meeting with an English club. I’ll present the offer from them to Galatasaray after a round of talks. I’ll talk with Galatasaray officials. I hope it’ll be a good offer for them (Galatasaray). I believe he can be sold for a good money. It’ll be a good move for Galatasaray financially of course.”
According to recent reports in Turkey, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has been keen to sign Bruma in this window after claims saying Galatasaray had rejected Tottenham’s offer of €15m.
At the time it was revealed the Turkish giants were looking for offers in the region of €20m, but the asking price has changed more than once.
Bruma’s contract will expire in 18 months, and the Galatasaray board are trying to tie him down to a long-term deal. However, the two parties are struggling to come to an agreement because of Bruma’s wage demands.
Pochettino is repeatedly linked with wingers, and the failure of Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to make an impact so far has only encouraged that.
