The brother of Manchester United star Edinson Cavani continues to dismiss the claims about the striker’s exit from the club this summer.
Last week, with Cristiano Ronaldo arriving at Old Trafford, the Uruguayan was linked to Brazilian side Corinthians. At that time, Walter Guglielmone claimed there were no contacts for the move.
Now on a more surprising rumour, Cavani ended up being linked with a late move to Barcelona. And once again according to his brother, that transfer is unlikely to happen.
Guglielmone was contacted by Uruguayan outlet Ovacion, and when speaking to them, claimed ‘it’s not true’.
Cavani’s brother and agent said that ‘for now’, there’s nothing, and the striker is expected to stay at Manchester United. The 34-year-old is said to be comfortable with the Red Devils, ‘even more’ following the arrivals of Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite the many rumours about Cavani not joining Uruguay’s national team for the upcoming games, manager Oscar Tabarez made it public that the association decided to reverse his call-up.
