There’s no denying Thursday night was an important one for both AS Roma and Leicester City, as the two sides faced each other in the Conference League semi-final.

The game ultimately ended in an aggregate victory for José Mourinho’s side thanks to a Tammy Abraham goal, forcing the Foxes fanbase to return to England disappointed.

Unfortunately, as tends to be the case when football fans travel around Europe, some damage was caused in the city itself, with Corriere della Sera’s Rome edition reporting ‘a series of buses’ were ‘destroyed by English hooligans’.

A video ‘shot by the drivers of the Via Prenestina’ showed ‘broken glass, dozens of beer bottles thrown on the ground, piles of waste and dirtied seats’.

This all took place before the game between Leicester and Roma, and one of the ATAC drivers can be heard saying: “They broke everything.”

In one instance, both entrance and exit doors were ‘destroyed’, and ‘staff of the municipal company reported they felt they were at great risk for their own safety’.

Not exactly what Leicester City will want their fans to be remembered for.
