Brighton & Hove Albion’s effort to sign Christian Kouamé from Fiorentina gets backed up some more in the Italian media today.
It’s journalist Gianluca Di Marzio who features a piece about the player’s future, claiming that La Viola recently received offers from the Bundesliga and the Premier League for his transfer.
It’s said Augsburg and Brighton have both ‘moved’ for the striker, even though there aren’t any details on how much each of those clubs are offering for him.
Di Marzio points out that Fiorentina are currently focused on the Conference League play-offs, and shall only take a decision on Kouane’s future once they get to know whether they’ll get the qualification against FC Twente this week.
Reports from the Italian media recently revealed Brighton’s attempt, claiming the Seagulls were one of the clubs who made an offer to sign the striker on a loan.
It was claimed, however, that Fiorentina were focused on keeping the player for the season, so the update from Di Marzio at least brings a little hope for those who want him signed.
