Brighton and Hove Albion could be set to annoy Boca Juniors once again, with the two sides competing for youngster Brian Aguirre.

That’s according to Bolavip, who say Brighton’s ‘fat wallet’ could prove to be the difference and help the Seagulls win the battle for his signature.

They explain that Boca are keen on Aguirre and want to get a deal done as soon as possible, with the 21-year-old having convinced the cub with his performances for the Argentine U20 National Team.

They’ve already made a first offer of $3m, which was rejected by Newell’s, who seemingly want more for their man than is currently being offered.

Aguirre, though, is open to the move, which could push matters along for Boca is they continue to pursue a transfer.

They face competition for the youngster, though, as Brighton also want him and have made an offer worth $6m. That was also considered insufficient and rejected out of hand.

The belief is that they will return with a renewed bid before too long and have a ‘fat wallet’ to use to their advantage and get a deal over the line.

It’s made clear that if they are willing to ‘go all out’ and shell out more money for Aguirre then there’s a deal there to be done, and the prospect of Boca fighting for his signature is then non-existent.
