A couple of months ago, we covered Aston Villa’s interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Carlos Soler after it was reported by AS. There is now a fresh update in the saga involving the Spaniard, who has also drawn interest from Brighton and West Ham.

The report from AS had suggested that while Villa’s interest had decreased, init still existed. Real Sociedad were also said to be an interested party.

L’Equipe today report Aston Villa tried to sign the former Valencia man in January but the move failed.

Both West Ham and Brighton are ‘testing the waters’ for Soler, who is a candidate to leave PSG this summer and the Premier League is suggested as a potential destination for him.

Soler joined PSG from Valencia in the summer of 2022 and hasn’t quite established himself as a regular in the side. Therefore it’s no surprise that he is a player who could leave the French giants this summer.

It remains to be seen if Brighton or West Ham follow up their interest with an offer or not.
